Our Refuge on Channel 4 News

Our refuge in the North East appeared on Channel 4 News last night as part of a bid to highlight growing concern around the impact of domestic abuse on children, particularly after the COVID-19 restrictions.

Claire Fallon interviewed Helene Cammish, the Children’s Worker for the refuge, along with Sinead Cregan, Inspire North’s Director for Innovation and Development, and a young person living at the refuge.

Calls for support for domestic abuse survivors have risen significantly this year. At Inspire North we have been running our No Excuse for Abuse Campaign, supported by the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, to highlight the issues.
