Inspire North achieves Investing in Volunteers recognition

We are delighted to announce that Inspire North has recently achieved the Investing in Volunteers Quality Standard, recognising the excellent work we do with our volunteers.

Inspire North Director of Operations Faye Oldroyd said: “At this challenging time we are so grateful to the fantastic volunteers who help support our clients, and proud to be able to provide volunteering experiences of the highest standards. We know this recognition means that our volunteers feel valued in the work they do, and we are proud to support them.”

Investing in Volunteers (IiV) is the UK quality standard for excellence in volunteer management. IiV aims to improve the quality of the volunteering experience for all volunteers and for organisations to acknowledge the enormous contribution made by volunteers.

Inspire North was assessed against a range of best practice standards and shown to excel in all aspects of working with our volunteers. Some of our clients said:

“I was a service user then became a volunteer, I had so much support. Volunteering helps me to communicate with people, I feel like I’m wanted and I love to see service users progressing.”

“I’m becoming more confident and gaining skills that I need for employment and further and higher education.”

Volunteering has helped me to feel included in the community.”

“I feel so valued as a person, as an individual, I feel understood and very included.”
