Mental Health First Aid - Being You Leeds

This training is being funded by Being You Leeds to increase access to Mental Health Training for, people who work and volunteer in third sector support services and want to learn how to better support people who are struggling with their mental health, and people living in Leeds who want to learn more about how to improve and support their wellbeing.

AIM: This course teaches participants how to recognise and respond appropriately to signs of emotional distress

This two-day course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider, giving you:

  • An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
  • Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
  • Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
  • Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
  • Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support

Fully Booked Dates: Wednesday 11th & Thursday 12th of June 2025

This training is 2 days running from 09.30-16.30 and in-person both days. It is FREE subject to eligibility.
