A Bit About My Role

My role is all about bringing our organisation’s vision and values to life. I work hard to make sure that equality, diversity, inclusion (EDI), and anti-racism are at the heart of everything we do—from leadership and decision-making to the way we deliver our services.

I’m also responsible for making sure we’re set up for long-term success. That means focusing on strong governance, financial stability, strategic growth, and always pushing for quality and innovation.

Day to day, I lead and support my team through regular meetings and check-ins.  I visit services regularly as this helps me stay connected to what it’s really like to work here and understand the challenges our clients and tenants face. I work closely with our Board and get involved in strategic work across the charity and social housing sectors, as well as the wider health, housing, and care system. No two days are ever the same—and that’s what makes it such a privilege to do this job.

How Long Have I Been with Inspire North?

I’m proud to be the founding CEO of Inspire North, so I’ve been here since the very beginning—making the idea I had in my mind a reality!

A Career Moment I’m Especially Proud Of

The recent amalgamation stands out as a real highlight. It’s been years in the making and involved some big decisions, but bringing everyone together into one organisation has been incredibly rewarding. What makes me proudest is how positively people have responded—it’s been amazing to see.

What I Love Most About Working Here

Without a doubt, it’s the people. I always say that because it’s true. We have so many incredible team members and hearing how our services have transformed the lives of our clients is truly humbling.

The Value That Resonates Most With Me

Integrity keeps me grounded, and passion keeps me going. Doing the right thing—even when it’s not easy or clear—is so important. Integrity builds trust, and without trust, we have nothing.

What I’m Passionate About Outside of Work

I’m really passionate about staying fit and healthy—both physically and mentally. That means everything from getting enough sleep and eating well to avoiding alcohol and training for triathlons. It’s even better when friends are part of the journey! I’m also a fierce advocate for my children who are both neurodivergent —they inspire me every day.
