Tell us a little about your professional background:
I work in a Culture and People team in the financial services sector and serve as Vice Chair of Inspire North. I'm also the Secretary for a colleague network focused on social mobility, which champions inclusion and equity in the workplace.
How long have you served on the Inspire North board and what motivated you to be on the board?
I joined the Inspire North board in 2023. I was drawn by the organisation’s deep-rooted commitment to mental health, housing, and community wellbeing—values that resonate deeply with me. I wanted to help shape work that delivers lasting, positive impact for people across our region.
What’s one thing you’re passionate about outside of work?
I couldn't choose one thing . Outside of work, I love finding new songs, going on long walks, and listening to podcasts about all sorts of random things. I also enjoy reading – particularly novels that make me reflect or offer new perspectives.
Who or what inspires you personally or professionally?
The people around me inspire me the most. I’m lucky to know so many individuals who, in their everyday lives, quietly do incredible things – whether it’s supporting others, challenging injustice, or creating change in their communities. Their example keeps me grounded and motivated.
What advice would you give to someone looking to make a difference in their community?
Start with what matters to you most. You don’t need all the answers, just the willingness to listen, learn and work together. Over time, even small actions can lead to big change.
