Inspire North’s first-ever patron is Leeds Rhinos Assistant Coach and former rugby player Jamie Jones-Buchanan. Jamie played for Leeds throughout his career, completing 20 seasons with the team. He is now Assistant Coach for the Rhinos.

Jamie is passionate about improving young people’s lives through sport, mental health and wellbeing, and domestic abuse. He says: “During my time as a professional Rugby League player for my hometown club, Leeds Rhinos, I’ve come to understand the benefits of being physically active and how a strong community can serve to help us to overcome a variety of mental health and social issues.

“In conjunction with the superb work that is done by the Leeds Rhinos Foundation in changing lives through sport it is a pleasure to become a patron of Inspire North, a fantastic charity that helps so many people across the North of England.”

Jamie will be working with Inspire North in the key areas where we can make a difference with our clients and communities – mental health and wellbeing, young people’s wellbeing, and domestic abuse. Read the patronage announcement here.
