We Stand Against Racism and Hate

Inspire North Sep 25

Diversity is our greatest strength. Every voice matters, every culture enriches us - and that’s why we are more committed than ever to being actively anti-racist.

We recognise how unsettling this time is, with the rise in racially motivated hate incidents and protests, including outside hotels housing asylum seekers - some happening in our own communities. Campaigns like “Operation Raise the Colours” have used national flags in ways that feel threatening and exclusionary, especially to migrants and racially minoritised people.

We reject all forms of racism, xenophobia, and hate. We are proud to be an anti-racist organisation, working to create safe, inclusive spaces where everyone is respected, supported, and free to be themselves.

Racial abuse is never acceptable. It is our collective responsibility to report it, challenge it when safe, and stand in solidarity and allyship with those affected.

We are encouraging our services to reach out to local communities that are impacted by what is happening to offer support and a safe space if needed.

We will not be silent. We will not be passive.

As a proudly diverse organisation, we are committed to being actively anti-racist. This means:

  • Challenging racism and discrimination wherever we encounter it—internally, externally, and systemically.
  • Creating safe spaces for our colleagues and communities to speak out and be heard.
  • Educating ourselves and others to better understand the lived experiences of those affected by racism and exclusion.
  • Holding ourselves accountable to ensure our policies, practices, and culture reflect equity, inclusion, and justice.
