Aspire - Social Recovery Group Worker - Volunteer
Aspire is the Leeds Early Intervention in Psychosis Service, providing holistic care coordination to people between the ages of 14 and 65 who are, or may be, experiencing their first episode of psychosis or are at-risk of developing psychosis. We provide support to families, friends, and social networks of the person in relation to their experience of psychosis too. aspire operates an open referral system.
We want our volunteers to come from all walks of life, with a range of experiences and skills to offer. There are no specific educational qualifications required, however we are hopeful to have someone join us with lived experience.
As a volunteer you would be supporting aspire staff with providing ongoing social recovery activity groups. The current groups are sports, arts and craft and allotment activities. These groups can vary throughout the year.
The role requires a volunteer who can:
1) Support setting up the group activity alongside the lead facilitator.
2) To assist with the planning and development of the group chosen to support.
3) Support clients whilst being kind, reliable, punctual and maintain appropriate boundaries.
4) Problem solves with support.
5) Be comfortable relying on their own initiative but also know when to seek support.
In house training and guidance will be provided during your Induction Period. We also provide ongoing learning and development throughout your volunteer experience along with regular supervision. We offer flexibility and out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
Young Dementia Leeds - Driver Volunteer
Young Dementia Leeds is a partnership between Inspire North and Carers Leeds and offers a range of wellbeing, holistic, mutual and peer support, connecting people to groups and activities within their community helping people to live well with dementia.
As a Volunteer Driver you will be collecting and dropping clients off from their homes or other locations in Leeds. As well as driving you might also get involved in other activities based at the centre.
This role requires that you own a car and have a clean driving licence and is subject to an Enhanced DBS and Police Vetting checks. We offer flexibility and out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
Bradford Dementia Hub - Social Media/Communications Volunteer
Bradford Dementia Hub is a partnership between Inspire North, Bradford Council, Khidmat Centres and Bradford Bulls.
The Hub offers information, advice and a signposting service for anyone living in Bradford diagnosed with dementia, and their friends, family and carers.
We deliver Community Awareness Sessions and Events to promote living well with dementia and how to increase Brain Health.
As a social media/communications volunteer, you would support the team to meet our promotional objectives through creative posts across our social media platforms. You will be encouraged to bring your ideas and creativity to the team and help develop other within the team.
Some of the activities that the volunteer role will get involved in include:
- Supporting our Social Media output with the creation and scheduling of posts.
2. Updating our Bradford Dementia Hub website in line with the Service Manager and Communications Team’s objectives.
3. Contributing to the creation of stories/newsletters celebrating people affected by dementia in Bradford.
4. Design/Create promotional literature.
5. To carry out any other duties which may be required and are consistent with the responsibilities of the role in agreement with the volunteer coordinator.
In house training and guidance will be provided during your Induction Period. We also provide ongoing learning and development throughout your volunteer experience along with regular supervision. We offer flexibility and out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
Bradford Dementia Hub - Administrative Volunteer
Bradford Dementia Hub is a partnership between Inspire North, Bradford Council, Khidmat Centres and Bradford Bulls.
The Hub offers information, advice and a signposting service for anyone living in Bradford diagnosed with dementia, and their friends, family and carers.
We deliver Community Awareness Sessions and Events to promote living well with dementia and how to increase Brain Health.
As a volunteer you would be supporting Bradford staff with the administration needs of the service.
Some of the activities that the volunteer role will get involved in include:
- Database administration.
2. Photocopying.
3. Composing Letter.
4. Printing flyers, leaflets and letters.
5. To carry out any other duties which may be required and are consistent with the role in agreement with the volunteer coordinator.
In house training and guidance will be provided during your Induction Period. We also provide ongoing learning and development throughout your volunteer experience along with regular supervision. We offer flexibility and out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
Bradford Dementia Hub - Awareness Raising Volunteer
Bradford Dementia Hub is a partnership between Inspire North, Bradford Council, Khidmat Centres and Bradford Bulls.
The Hub offers information, advice and a signposting service for anyone living in Bradford diagnosed with dementia, and their friends, family and carers.
We deliver Community Awareness Sessions and Events to promote living well with dementia and how to increase Brain Health.
As a volunteer you would be helping to support Bradford Dementia Hub in raising dementia awareness across the Bradford district. Bradford Dementia Hub raises awareness of dementia across Bradford through events and dementia awareness sessions. These can be at the city centre Hub or various venues across the district and are not always dementia specific events. These are usually delivered by one member of staff and one volunteer.
Some of the activities that the volunteer role will get involved in include:
- Supporting Bradford Dementia Hub staff at local events and information stands.
2. Distributing leaflets, flyers etc in community centres, GP surgeries/hospitals, supermarket notice boards and other locations easily accessible to the community and organisations that support people with dementia.
3. Establishing connections with local organisations and community groups, bringing back information to the Bradford Dementia Hub team on the services they provide.
4. Supporting “Dementia Awareness” sessions across Bradford.
5. To carry out any other duties which may be required and are consistent with the responsibilities of the role in agreement with the volunteer coordinator.

Bradford Dementia Hub - Keep in Touch and Client Voice Volunteer
Bradford Dementia Hub is a partnership between Inspire North, Bradford Council, Khidmat Centres and Bradford Bulls.
The Hub offers information, advice and a signposting service for anyone living in Bradford diagnosed with dementia, and their friends, family and carers.
We deliver Community Awareness Sessions and Events to promote living well with dementia and how to increase Brain Health.
The Client Voice role will allow the volunteer to establish and facilitate a coffee morning at least once a month from the Hub in Bradford which enables clients with dementia to meet likeminded people in a safe environment. Client Voice gives a platform to those living with dementia to shape the Bradford Dementia Hub Service, get involved in projects and have their voice represented within their community.
As a volunteer you would be helping to support the wellbeing of our clients. Telephoning people with dementia or their carers, who have been referred to Bradford Dementia Hub.
Organising and facilitating a monthly coffee morning at the Hub for clients. Through the coffee mornings, facilitating discussions and activities that support clients to feedback what they want to see happen and shape the service / community.
In house training and guidance will be provided during your Induction Period. We also provide ongoing learning and development throughout your volunteer experience along with regular supervision. We offer flexibility and out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
Bradford Dementia Hub - Artist/Musician/Performer Volunteer
Bradford Dementia Hub is a partnership between Inspire North, Bradford Council, Khidmat Centres and Bradford Bulls.
The Hub offers information, advice and a signposting service for anyone living in Bradford diagnosed with dementia, and their friends, family and carers.
We deliver Community Awareness Sessions and Events to promote living well with dementia and how to increase Brain Health.
Bradford Dementia Hub raises awareness of dementia across Bradford through events and dementia awareness sessions. These can be at the city centre Hub or various venues across the district and are not always dementia specific events. The Artist/Musician will deliver a short musical performance to those living with dementia and/or their carers whilst providing them the opportunity to participate in the activity (either through singing/dancing).
As a volunteer you would be helping to support Bradford Dementia Hub in raising dementia awareness across the Bradford district and entertain our clients. You would be giving people experiencing memory loss/living with dementia the opportunity to be part of a creative activity which could be stimulating, fun and a powerful tool of reminiscence.
