CLEAR offers a wide range of exciting groups, courses and workshops. We deliver these from our hub in central Huddersfield and also from across various locations in north and south Kirklees.

Groups
18-30s Group
A laid-back and creative space for young adults to connect, relax, and have some fun. Sessions are shaped by the group and change weekly from arts and crafts to games and projects. We start with a friendly catch-up and ease into whatever the group has chosen to do. Open to anyone aged 18–30 accessing support through the Working Together Better partnership.
All Together
Stimulate your mind and lift your spirits with puzzles, games, team challenges, and creative tasks all in great company. This group is designed to boost confidence, memory, and connection, and is open to all CLEAR clients, including those living with dementia. Please note: the group is currently full, but you can speak to your key worker to join the waiting list.
Anger Management Course
This six-week programme offers a deeper understanding of anger and how to manage it more effectively. Using CBT principles, we explore triggers, patterns, and practical ways to respond. Sessions include group discussion, reflection, and a workbook to continue learning after the course ends.
Anxiety Course
Over four weeks, we explore what anxiety is and how we can manage it using practical tools drawn from CBT and Polyvagal theory. You'll learn how thoughts, behaviours, and body responses interact and discover strategies to help you feel more in control. It’s also a space to share, reflect, and support each other along the way.
Assertiveness Workshop
In this 3-hour session, we unpack what assertiveness is and isn’t; and share simple, effective tools to help you speak up with confidence in everyday life. Come away with six practical strategies you can use straight away. Speak to your key worker if you'd like to join.
Beat The Monday Blues
Join us every Monday morning for a relaxed session of drumming, singing, or playing any instrument—no experience needed, just pure joy in making music together!
Confidence Workshop
Explore what confidence really means and how it shapes how we see ourselves. In this one-day workshop, we look at self-esteem, body language, and personal values, and share tools that have helped others on their recovery journeys. Created by two former CLEAR clients, it’s designed to inspire, support, and uplift.
Creativity and Wellbeing (Batley Schools Hub Term Time)
Join us in the Batley community for term-time sessions focused on creativity and wellbeing. Sessions vary and may include crafts, meditation, or gentle physical activities. Open to the local community sign up directly through the school (link available).
CST
This six-week course is for people living with a diagnosis of dementia. Each session we take part in interactive activities and discussions based on different topics. The course is a good chance to reminisce and get peer support from each other. Carers are also welcome to attend for support.
Please note: Referrals are made through the Memory Clinic, so you can contact them to make a referral, or refer to CLEAR directly and access the additional support we can offer.
Culturally Diverse Communities Cooking Group
A warm, friendly space where we celebrate culture through cooking and conversation. Come share recipes, stories, and flavours from around the world. It’s a space to learn from each other, enjoy delicious food, and connect through shared heritage and experience.
Dewsbury Art Group
Make your Friday more colourful! Join us at Dewsbury Connect for a relaxed art group where you can get creative, try something new, and enjoy good company. Whether it’s painting, sketching, or collaging, it’s all about enjoying the process not perfection. No experience needed, just come as you are.
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Workshop
Learn how tapping on specific acupressure points alongside affirmations can help reduce stress, ease anxiety, and restore balance. EFT is a gentle yet powerful technique for emotional and physical wellbeing. Speak to Hannah if you'd like to register your interest. Currently on Hold
Hearing Voices Group
A calm and welcoming space for anyone who hears voices, sees visions, or has other unique sensory experiences. Come together with others who understand, share stories, and support one another in a non-judgmental setting. Led by a trained facilitator, this group is open to anyone with lived experience accessing support from CLEAR, Insight Service, or Working Together Better partners.
Mindful Mondays
Ease into your week with calm, clarity, and connection. Each session offers a mix of gentle guided meditations, relaxation practices, and thoughtful conversation, helping you slow down, reflect, and reset. Whether you're new to mindfulness or returning to your practice, you’re warmly invited to join us every Monday at Dewsbury Connect.
Mindfulness Course
This gentle course introduces the principles and practices of mindfulness in a relaxed, supportive space. We’ll explore present-moment awareness, self-compassion, and the Five Ways to Wellbeing, offering small steps that can make a big difference. The course is in development if you’re interested, let us know and we’ll add your name to the list.
Monthly Yoga Sessions
Come join us on the last Friday of every month for a gentle session of stretching, breathing, and moving your body. No experience or flexibility needed! We’ll meet you exactly where you’re at, whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just curious to try. It’s all about taking time for yourself, moving at your own pace, and enjoying the moment. Check the poster for dates, as these may occasionally change.”
One-Off Activities
From countryside walks and café trips to foraging and barge rides, our one-off sessions are shaped by you! Keep an eye on the timetable for what’s coming up, or speak to a worker if you’ve got an idea you’d love to see on offer.
Quarterly Women’s Circle
Once a season, we gather for an uplifting afternoon with likeminded women. Each session includes a seasonal activity, time to chat, grounding breathwork, and a gentle closing with meditation or poetry. Expect warm drinks, snacks, and a sense of connection. Open to women from across the Working Together Better services.
Sleep Course
If sleep is a struggle, this short course offers insights and tools that can help. Learn about the science of sleep, discover habits that support better rest, and explore gentle techniques to wind down at night. The course is currently in development speak to your key worker to express interest.
Smoking Cessation Support
Ready to quit? You don’t have to do it alone. Our trained staff offer weekly 1:1 support, guidance on medication and nicotine replacement options, and encouragement every step of the way. Together, we’ll create a plan that works for you.
Time Travel Tuesdays
Step back in time and explore the past in good company. Each week, we dive into history through quizzes, films, documentaries, and lively chats, there’s even the occasional mystery to solve! Whether you're a history fan or just curious, you're welcome to come along and share stories, laughs, and learning.
Tranquil Tuesdays
Take a gentle pause midweek. This group invites you to slow down and reconnect with yourself through soothing practices like breathwork, sound baths, and guided meditation. Whether you’re building a mindfulness habit or just need a moment to breathe, you’ll find a calm and supportive space here.
Warhol Wednesdays
Think you’re not creative? This is the group for you! Each week we experiment with fun and unusual materials; from teabags to aftershave and explore art in playful, unexpected ways. Designed with inclusivity in mind, this is a relaxed, no-pressure space to enjoy making art in your own way. Everyone’s welcome - stick figures included!
Weekends
Saturdays:
Pop into our Huddersfield hub for a cuppa, some company, and relaxed activities. Whether you’re into board games, crafts, reading, or just chatting, it’s a welcoming place to be. Feel free to bring your own project or share a skill with the group.
Sundays:
Check the timetable for a mix of online and in-person sessions, past outings have included countryside walks, café trips, and cinema visits. There’s also a monthly online Zoom group with fun activities and plenty of laughs.
Wellbeing Skills Workbook
This self-guided workbook is packed with tools and tips for building resilience, regulating emotions, setting goals, and exploring what matters most to you. Work through it at your own pace, with support available in your key work sessions. Ask your key worker if you'd like a copy.
